Excellent car for the right people

The pros: beautifully crafted interior, nice soft touch surfaces, spunky engine when in sport mode or using the paddle shifters, amazing torque vectoring awd for snow and ice, 450 watt sound system with very good tone, unique looks (7000 ish cars made), very reliable, rear doors open wider than normal for access to the rear seats when they are laid flat. The cons: rear seats have a lower ceiling and don’t provide enough headroom for anyone over 5’8”. The rear view sightin sight line is atrocious. (A simple remedy is to buy a wolf box electronic mirror which literally solves all visibility problems.) The car feels kind of sluggish in regular drive mode in the city, fine on the freeway. (Sport mode, as mentioned is entertaining and adjusts the suspension too. ). Blue tooth needs an ox cord but will at least give verbal Google/apple directions through the speakers. The turning radius is only average, rear luggage space is limited unless you put down the seats. - 5.0

I have enjoyed my ZDX immensely and while I was concerned about the back headroom with a tall family, my 2 teens, at the time, had no complaints and also loved the car. Even now that it is 8 years old, strangers stop me in parking lots to tell me what a great looking car, ask questions about the car or still get a periodic thumbs up while driving. The interior is wider than other SUVs and love the feel. Couple of cons: rear seats-head room is tight for tall people and the turning radius could be greater, but only noticeable when making a tight U turn. Because of its width, parking can be a challenge. Overall I love this car and was so sorry to see it discontinued.
